Job Description:

The Account Supervisor is the main contact for the assigned accounts, providing ongoing council, strategic guidance, and short and long term integrated communications solutions. He/she is responsible for developing close relationships with top client management and for proper servicing of the accounts under his/her jurisdiction. Bears final responsibility for the agency’s recommendations and overall performance.

Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a positive relationship with clients at all levels of the organization.
    • Initiates and maintains contacts and communications with assigned clients to define their needs, obtain required input and develop proposals.
    • Keeps well informed on all accounts’ activities, anticipating trouble (internal or external) or client dissatisfaction, and with Executive leadership takes steps to remedy any such situation.
    • Be informed and personally involved in accounts, ensuring sound planning, good service and a solid client/agency relationship.
    • Keeps abreast of changes and trends in assigned clients' industries and communications field.
  • Responsible for account profit and loss and ensures the profitability of accounts based on agency income.
    • Prepares annual forecast and subsequent adjustments for assigned accounts.
    • Responsible for overall budget management on the business. Monitor budgets ongoing and personally review client budgets and billing.
    • Aid in collection of past due invoices and billing action on jobs over 90 days old.
    • Supervise the development and administration of the clients’ budgets, and ensure the accounts function within those budgets.
    • Responsible for account growth and to provide clients with unsolicited ideas to grow their business.
  • Supervises account team with the primary goal being the achievement of client’s marketing objectives.
    • Delegate without giving up responsibility, control, and authority.
    • Ensure clear, comprehensive and concise work orders (scope of work/change requests) are submitted to internal teams.
    • Ensure team members know and are following, established agency account service procedures, i.e., maintenance of account files, approval process, status reports, timelines and estimates.
    • Ensure projects are done on time and within budget.
  • Manages communications between account service and all internal departments as necessary to support the efficient development, quality production and superior delivery of client projects.
    • Ensure the proper utilization of appropriate agency departments by account team.
    • Keep Executive leadership informed and involved in accounts.
    • Maintains the confidentiality of sensitive client information.
  • Stays up on TfA tools and resources and is capable of being an innovator and subject matter expert in their use.
  • Maintains a high level of accuracy and detail within the quality of their work while still maintaining and exceeding given timelines.

Special Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in Advertising or Marketing/Communications.
  • 6-10 years of experience as an advertising and/or public relations account executive, preferably with accounts/client base similar to The frank Agency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
