The frank Agency is proud to announce the promotion of Tom Stofac to Executive Vice President/Executive Creative Director. Tom first came to The frank Agency three years ago as Creative Director, and during his tenure has made a major impact on the company. Some of his biggest achievements include rebranding both a 100-year-old public utility client and The frank Agency itself. “Both were massive undertakings, but, if I have to pick a favorite, I think I have to give the nod to TfA, since there was such a small circle of folks who knew what we were doing,” Tom says. “It was a blast.”
Although currently a brand master, Tom wasn’t always drawn to the world of advertising. “I wanted to be a sportswriter. In fact, that’s where I started. First in college, and then at the Loveland Reporter Herald in Colorado. “It was there that I learned that the most common way to advance in the sports department was to wait for the people ahead of you to die. Advertising seemed infinitely more fun – and much less morbid. I only had to wait for a couple of folks to die to make it in this biz.”
Tom’s career has taken him many places, from Colorado to the Deep South. Of all the places he’s been though, Tom says he thinks he likes Kansas City best. “The people are nice, the accounts are fun, and the beer is cold.”
As EVP, Tom has clear goals for what he hopes to accomplish. “World domination would be nice, but I’m willing to settle for a clearer creative vision for the future, a continuance of a growing collaborative structure between departments, and beating President Tony Ali at poker once in a while.”
Please join us in congratulating Tom on this well-deserved promotion!
