Junior Paid Search Specialist

Note: We are looking for a well-rounded, experienced Junior Paid Search Strategist with strong analytical skills and marketing agency experience.

Job Description:

Responsible for the day-to-day workflow of digital media plans and buys. Combines technical, analytical ability with communication. Responsible for overseeing the digital buying process from research to reporting and reconciliation.

Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of the client’s overall business and marketing objectives
  • Knowledge of market research, current media channels and advertising options, and a willingness to follow media trends are essential.
  • Optimize media campaigns to both increase brand awareness and help achieve business objectives, as well as ensure ads reach target audiences through high-quality channels at the lowest possible prices.
  • Execute digital marketing strategies to drive traffic and conversions to client websites.
  • Research, plan and build paid search campaigns from scratch and overhauling existing campaigns to better fit client needs.
  • Write creative copy for paid search text ads.
  • Optimize performance across a digital media landscape comprised primarily of PPC/paid search, retargeting, and display campaigns. This includes Google, Microsoft and potentially other 2nd tier search engines and content networks.
  • Analyze daily data trends and manage budgets, pacing, and client performance to goals
  • Test the performance of ad creative, landing page design, beta opportunities, and other campaign elements to improve results
  • Work closely with Account Management and Digital Media leadership to conceptualize, execute, and report on campaign strategy and effectiveness
  • Analyze data and prepare both internal and client facing reports including recaps of past performance and recommendations for further improvements to campaigns and strategies.
  • Be receptive to feedback, willing to learn and follow direction, embrace continuous improvement.
  • Proactively communicate results with the account team on assigned campaigns.
  • Produce strategic planning documents and competitive analyses.
  • Monitor and evaluate the latest trends within the search engine landscape.
  • Explore and recommend new and innovative creative digital solutions and tests.
  • Identify and present new opportunities/areas of growth to clients that will improve their digital media ROI


Special Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree in marketing, advertising or communications.
  • Basic knowledge of PPC/digital media buying and planning.
  • Fluent in Excel, PowerPoint and proficient with various online tools.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Time management and multi-tasking skills as role requires management of multiple campaigns for multiple clients.
  • Advanced communication, presentation, analytical and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster optimal department relationships.
  • Detail-oriented and strong implementation skills.
  • Ability to create schedules and budgets and meet them.
  • Google AdWords certification a plus.
