Jennifer Mitchell, KCDMA Young Direct Marketer of the Year 2016

We are proud to announce that our very own Jennifer Mitchell has been named Young Direct Marketer of the Year by the Kansas City Direct Marketing Association (KCDMA)! Jennifer isn’t one to “toot her own horn” – and that’s fine, because here at The frank Agency, she doesn’t have to. She is passionate, hardworking, a team player and generous with her experience. And that means her clients and coworkers alike are more than willing to sing her praises.

The Young Direct Marketer of the Year award is for the up-and-comer who has stood out as a future star, someone who is both a powerful contributor to KCDMA and the Kansas City direct marketing community. And Jennifer fits that bill perfectly.

Jennifer has ten years’ experience in the marketing and advertising industry, coordinating the planning and execution of digital and offline marketing programs. Since first joining the industry, Jennifer has held positions on both the agency and the client sides – always with a direct and data-driven emphasis. From day one at The frank Agency, she has demonstrated not only involvement and commitment to data-driven marketing, but mastery and common, helping to lead some of our agency’s largest clients. She thinks strategically, looking for every opportunity to maximize ROI.

Be it a global enterprise or a local company, Jennifer keeps her clients looking to her leadership in developing and driving results-oriented campaigns and initiatives. Jennifer sees her clients’ successes as her successes and is able to mix the professional with the personal to form deep, long-lasting relationships. With clients and internal audiences alike, Jennifer is a collaborative force, demonstrating an enthusiastic work style that is a hallmark of her approach to the business.

Those praises are well earned, as Jennifer works diligently in her professional career, to be sure. But she brings that same dedication and enthusiasm to her volunteer life, as well. Outside of her role as VP/Account Supervisor at The frank Agency, Jennifer also serves on the steering committee as Corporate Liaison to the Children’s Mercy Hospital auxiliary board and as a consultant to the Advice & Aide Pregnancy Centers.

KCDMA Involvement

Jennifer has been heavily involved in KCDM. She is the 2015 Chair of the KCDMA AMBIT Awards, and is an active and enthusiastic member of the board. While this is her first year participating on the KCDMA board, it’s her 3rd year as a paid member and her 7th year attending events. She brings her knowledge of direct marketing and customer experience to her role on the board, as evidenced by the awesome AMBIT awards ceremony this year. And as a member of both the BMA and AAFKC, she’s both well-connected and engaged within the Kansas City marketing and advertising community.

Jennifer stays current on marketing and advertising laws and trends by attending events and symposiums from the KCDMA and national DMA, of which she has been a member of both for the last three years. More importantly, she puts that knowledge to use, developing and advising client programs at The frank Agency, as well as in the fundraising and direct marketing consultation she provides to her volunteer charities. Jennifer is conversant in the guidelines set forth by the DMA, and uses both those guidelines and her own high personal ethical standards to guide the way she handles herself and client business.

Jennifer has a true understanding of how unified campaigns and brand experiences can only come from integrating data-driven marketing into a multi-channel strategy, and that makes her an ideal representative for how “data-driven” and “marketing” can and should be synonymous. Whether for her clients here, at the KCDMA board or in her volunteer work, Jennifer’s passion for our industry, her incredibly positive attitude and willingness to roll up her sleeves while offering a beaming, welcoming smile all add up to a worthy and deserving candidate.

Congratulations, Jennifer!
