Job Description:

The SEO Specialist is responsible for helping guide and execute both on-page and off-page Search Engine Optimization strategy across our client’s websites.

Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Analyze website architecture and content and advise how to increase keyword rankings in the search engines.
  • Research and identify targeted keywords and develop projects around them that will help increase keyword rankings for the client.
  • Use Web analytics software to collect data and recommend how to increase keyword rankings in the search engines based off of that data.
  • Technical SEO audits and updates (ex. TITLE, META, HEADING and ALT tags).
  • Working with client to understand their search needs and to help build better brand presence across the search engines.
  • Develop and execute link-building strategies via content strategy, social media and partnership development.
  • Produce client deliverables in a timely manner, including periodic website analysis, performance and keyword reports.
  • Perform competitive analysis and report on findings.
  • Passive monitoring of brand mentions for the client that could impact search traffic.
  • User experience (UX)/lead funnel analysis and recommendations.
  • Using testing software, test page element/structure changes to improve conversion path.
  • Advance personal knowledge of the organic search industry and of changes to search engine algorithms.

Special Skills and Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of proven experience in SEO.
  • Working knowledge of site ranking strategies and how search engine algorithms impact organic search.
  • Basic understanding of the technical aspects of a Web page, e.g., HTML tags and their attributes.
  • Ability to work across multiple CMS (Content Management Systems).
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and other industry tools, e.g., Moz, RavenTools, MajesticSEO.
  • Ability to diligently manage multiple tasks simultaneously while working under strict deadlines.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Competent in communicating with clients via email/phone and in person.
  • Ability to learn at a rapid pace and overcome new challenges.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, as well as uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Ability to both work well independently and as a part of a team.
