Job Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for bringing together all the necessary documents for client projects. This position works closely with project participants to make sure everyone has the information necessary to perform the necessary tasks.  

Specific Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project.
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project.
  • Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities.
  • Create project documentation including scope, schedules, project status reports, estimates and other documentation as necessary.
  • Manage project scopes and timelines throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate with account service, developers, web designers, art directors and internal departments as appropriate to initiate and complete high quality, targeted output.
  • Manage and ensure that the progress for all projects/jobs is defined, on time, accurate and within budget.
  • Establish key date calendars and project management schedules in support of budgeted and timely project completion.
  • Organize and attend team and other internal meetings as appropriate to maintain project status.
  • Report project or job status to management as appropriate.
  • Work with project management team and department heads on allocation of resources.
  • Clearly communicate expectations to team members and stakeholders.
  • Manage budgets and generate appropriate tracking reports.
  • Route projects internally to ensure stakeholder approval.
  • When necessary, communicate with print vendors to ensure progression of projects through the agency.
  • Proactively learn about the client’s business and industry as well as the specific products and services offered by the client.
  • Working closely with the entire staff, including creative partners, writers and account executives, the Project Manager monitors the movement of all jobs through all agency departments updating schedules and team members as required.
 

Special Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, communication, marketing or related field.
  • Strong writing, computer, verbal, presentation and problem solving skills are necessary.
  • Familiarity with project management practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Able to rapidly adapt and respond to changes in environment and priorities.
  • An understanding of print and digital communications and previous agency experience are preferred.
  • Knowledge of and experience with project management software is also preferred.
